Should I do a workout in the mornings?

So I am a High Schooler (junior), and I am on the Cross Country team. I am having a good season but I was wondering if in the mornings when I get up if i should do some Abs and Push-ups. Im not talking about a crazy intense thing, just something to tighten and strengthen up the main muscles I use. And should I do it everyday, every other day... and so on. Thanks!!1
