Gundam type show question.?

Several years back I remember watching an anime with gundam suits on cartoon network. It was surrounding a tournament and the main villain had a full black gundam with some red helm spikes. Other then that I don't quite remember much. Any idea of a website to look it up or the show itself would be nice.
