Why do kids everywhere make fun of me because im black and im so called a "hipster/indie" how can i change?

Im 15 and I have dreadlocks, my everyday wardrobe is skinny jeans, old white hightop converse,any shirt I can find and a jean jacket. I wear gles (-10 perscription). Im reallly tall and weight 110 (im really skinny :/ ) im very quiet, I like to read, I love soft rock and old school hiphop I just love music period! and I like hotchocolate:D (lol) and im VERY sweet but kids at my school (mostly black kids) pick on me and talk trash about me because they think I "wanna be white" or im "trying to act white" first of all...ignorant much? Wtf. And what the hell is indie? And why do people hate them so much. And just because im not ghetto doesnt mean I dont appreciate my race. Ill be leaving everyone alone in cl reading a book or something then here some rude kids come picking on me for no reason. Could it be my appearance? How can I change to fit in more?
