For ladies with PCOS, do you think my doc would put me on Metformin without the follicle stimulating test?

Hi i am currently also seeing my doctor about possible PCOS as i have many of the symptoms that accrue with PCOS. The things my doctor is she sent me for blood tests for PCOS, thyroid, Enemy and also red blood count. They usually do blood tests and scans to determine weather you have PCOS or not. I don't think the doctor will put you on Metformin before diagnosing you with PCOS first because it is usually used in diabetes but they have also found out that it can help with PCOS as well. If in were you i would have all tests first as taking this medication with out PCOS my damage some other part of your health with it being for diabetes. Hope this has helped a little.
