Best friend and Mother don't approve of dating, but I want to. Relationship questions, I need advice :/?

I give dating advice to my best friend all the time. Sounds like your friend is a loser and wants to drag you down too. Screw your friend, screw your mom, do what you want. And if they are right, then take their advice. But if you are taking their advice just cause they have a spot in your life doesn't mean nothing. I'll tell you a secret. If your best friend is single, they want you to be single too, But they'd rather you be single and them dating someone. But once they start dating, they'll not give a crap about who you date. and if they do, they are selfish. thats a fact of life, no matter how good your friend is.
