Will people think I'm emo if I cover my left eye with my hair?

I have a really big ugly red birthmark around my left eye and people at school make fun of me for it, and my brother said I would be a good-looking guy if I didn't have a birthmark and I want to hide it, I have pretty long hair and bangs but I keep it out of my face. If I hid my birthmark with my hair, would people think I'm emo, cause I'm not emo and I don't wanna be emo, but I hate my birthmark!
